A man is recovering at the hospital after being shot Tuesday night at the corner of Red Bluff Street and Church Street in front of the U.S. Post Office in the Clio area of Marlboro County , according to officials with the Clio police department.
One person had died following a shooting in Simpsonville Tuesday night. Our crew at the scene confirmed the shooting took place at Gateway Village Apartment Homes on Boyd Avenue. Simpsonville Police confirmed with us earlier that officers were on-scene investigating.

Two people accused of killing a man and leaving parts of his dismembering body in the Francis Marion Forest will head to trial. According to authorities, 41-year-old Christina N. Alderman and 46-year-old Jason E. Down were arrested by the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office in connection with Charles Glenn Bishop’s death.

The Cherokee County coroner said a man was found dead in a car near the Suminoe Textile plant in Gaffney early Tuesday morning after a shooting that occurred elsewhere. The victim was identified as Matthew Markess Littlejohn, 33, of Panorama Street in Boiling Springs.

The statement said while Acker attempted to climb next to the falls, a large boulder shifted, rolled down a hill and struck him.

Columbia fire crews have put out a fire at the Miyo's on Forest Drive Thursday night. The department tweeted that smoke was seen from the roof and interior of the restaurant, located at 3250 Forest Drive. The fire was contained and extinguished inside the restaurant's cooking ventilation.

4 law enforcement officers shot in South Carolina suspect in custody. Trent Faris with the York County Sheriff's Office told WSOC-TV that around 10:10 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence call on Farrier Lane, just outside the town of York. Faris said the suspect, 47-year-old Christian Thomas McCall, was assaulting a woman in the home but when deputies arrived, he had taken off.
