Spartanburg: South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers said Tuesday that a pedestrian was killed in an early-morning crash trying to cross the interstate. Troopers responded about 2:15 a.m. to the northbound lanes of I-85 Business at mile marker 6 in Spartanburg County, according to the Highway Patrol website.

Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a gunshot victim on Deacon Heyward Road on St. Helena Island at approximately 6:25 p.m. Sunday night. According to a report, when they arrived on-scene, deputies located the gunshot victim, as well as the person of interest in the shooting, both are adult males.
