Greenville police are investigating a shooting and a hit-and-run near the North Main neighborhood that left one man wounded and several suspects in custody. Investigators believe the shooting was not random and it appears the people involved all knew each other, police said. Greenville Chief Ken Miller said a gunshot victim was reported just before 2 p.m. near Rutherford Road and North Main Street.
Anderson County sheriff's deputies are investigating another suspicious package report in Anderson. The call came in Tuesday night about a suspicious package at the intersection of Hard Hillhouse Road and Norris Drive
