Three people are being treated at a local hospital after a shooting in Five Points early Sunday morning, according to Columbia police chief Skip Holbrook. At a media briefing shortly after 4 a.m., Holbrook said the shooting occurred near Harden and Greene Streets right at 2 a.m., as bars were letting out.
Richard Hank Houser, 48, of Cowpens, was killed in a Spartanburg County crash Saturday afternoon, according to the coroner. The coroner said Houser was pronounced dead at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center at 3:22 p.m. Houser was involved in a head-on crash that took place on Bud Arthur Bridge Road just north of Cowpens around 2:50 p.m.
